On day 15 of Love Advent, mannequin Winnie Harlow writhes round a mirrored room in a glittery lingerie quantity. “I felt like I was in my very own music video,” the quote attributed to Harlow reads. “My 9-year-old self always wanted to be Britney Spears and I think that dream has official been fulfilled!” You can watch the 23-year-old make her Love Advent debut within the video above.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set royal wedding ceremony date 
This simply in from the Palace: The newly engaged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to wed on May 19. This gives us five more months of Markle engagement outfits — hopefully more sleek coats! — and plenty of time to fantasize about their royal nuptials. Save the date!

Kelly Cutrone says Russell Simmons tried to rape her 
PR maven Kelly Cutrone, notorious for her supporting roles on “The Hills” and its New York spinoff “The City,” has come forward to say that Russell Simmons attempted to rape her in 1991. Cutrone’s public confession was prompted by Simmons’s #NotMe movement, in which the music mogul tried to deny rape allegations by adding the hashtag to his social media posts. In an interview with Page Six, Cutrone responded to his self-proclaimed innocence with the comment: “I’m going to do a #YeahYou. F–k you.”

Anna Wintour gave out fox tights at welcome party for ‘Vanity Fair”s new editor in chief
In mid-November, Vanity Fair’s newly-appointed Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones stopped by her new grounds wearing fox-covered hosiery, stirring up somewhat of a style controversy. But it seems Condé’s fashion chief was unbothered by her choice in legwear, because on Thursday night Anna Wintour hosted a welcome party for Jones and sent all the guests home with fox-patterned tights. Now all the floors at One World Trade will be filled with funky panty hose.

Bottega Veneta to present coed Fall 2018 collection during NYFW
The CFDA just released its preliminary schedule for all of New York Fashion Week’s Fall 2018 shows and we were pleasantly surprised to see the Italian headliner, Bottega Veneta. The luxury brand will leave its home in Milan to hold a coed show in New York on Feb. 9.

H&M to launch a menswear collection with G-Eazy in March 
The rapper G-Eazy is the latest cool guy to collaborate with H&M. The Swedish retailer announced Friday morning that the hip hop star is working with its men’s designers on a collection that will drop on Mar. 1. “We love his unique take on streetwear with tailoring, and his love of checks and vivid color,”  said Andreas Löwenstam, H&M’s men’s head of design, in a press statement. “We look forward to revealing more about the collection with all of our fans.”  

Alexandra Schulman on why we should stop focusing on size and start concentrating on fit
In an essay for Business of Fashion, ex-EIC of British Vogue Alexandra Schulman weighs in on fashion’s troubled relationship with size. Schulman argues that the industry should focus more on fit rather than size, because fit is less fixed and has more positive implications: “If something fits, it has a personal relationship to our body and allows us a degree of ownership in finding clothes,” she writes. “We want to feel comfortable and attractive in our clothes — and the better they fit, the more likely this will be.”

Michael Kors goes fur-free
After many years of protests at Michael Kors fashion shows and boutiques by animal rights groups, the brand (and its recent acquisition Jimmy Choo) is the latest company to announce a commitment to going fur-free. The global fashion group joins Gucci, Armani Stella McCartney and more leading luxury players as a part of the international Fur Free Retailer Program. “Due to technological advances in fabrications, we now have the ability to create a luxe aesthetic using non-animal fur,” designer Michael Kors said in a press statement. “We will showcase these new techniques in our upcoming runway show in February.”
